"Thank
you for calling GE Polymerland. How may I help you?"
As the first contact for many of our customers, I pride myself on
being informative, professional, and most of all, knowledgeable. Customers
can talk to me via the fax, phone or our "best in the business" website.
The website allows me to go online with our customers in real-time
using the teleweb function.
Order fulfillment is the name of the game.
We are the first and largest part of the supply chain. We take orders
and see them through to the customer's doorstep. We pride ourselves
on our accuracy and our quick responses. By using six sigma methodology,
we ensure our accuracy and continuation are the best in the plastics
business. We interact not only with external customers, but also with
internal customers--such as materials management and finance--to ensure
a quick response to the external customers' needs.
A simple "thank you" puts a smile on my face.
The best part of being a Customer Service Representative is the "thank
you" received after solving a tough problem. It is this "pat on the
back" that makes the hard work of getting the plastic delivered well
worthwhile. Customer service is a team event. When we are struggling
with a busy day, we help each other out, so that at the end of the
day, we are not only co-workers, but friends!
We have big shoes to fill as a Customer Service Representative.
Customer Service includes those who communicate with accounts, via
our teleweb and our specialized market segments or our regional customers.
Our job requires that we know and can recall a lot of information
in a quick and timely manner.
As CSRs, we communicate with
customers and account managers via the phone, fax and web to ensure
orders are delivered quickly and accurately. We place orders, follow-up
on orders and support the account managers. We work out of a Windows-based
order-management system known as ESS to provide information to other
areas of the business. We prefer a four-year degree or equivalent
customer service experience.
All Customer Service jobs vary, which is why we encourage you to explore
our opportunities. We are always looking for qualified Customer Service
Representatives to greet our customers with a polite and friendly
"Thank you for calling GE Polymerland. How may I help you?"
