GE Plastics offers high performance materials - from plastics and silicones to industrial diamonds and phosphite additives - to customers worldwide.

GE Plastics comprises the following components:

Resins
With regional headquarters in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA; Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands; and Tokyo, Japan, the resins component offers a range of high performance engineering thermoplastics that combine mechanical strength, color stability, and resistance to heat, impact, corrosion and flame. The business also manufactures and markets circuit board prepregs, and structural glazing and high performance graphic and insulating films, made from LEXAN® polycarbonate. The resins business also includes GE Polymerland, a distributor of GE Plastics materials, other name-brand engineering resins, specialty polymers, commodities and remanufactured resins from leading manufacturers. GE Polymerland is headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina, USA.

GE Silicones
Headquartered in Waterford, New York, USA, GE Silicones manufactures a unique family of materials including adhesives, sealants, fluids, resins and elastomers. GE has been issued over 2,000 U.S. patents relating to silicones.

GE Superabrasives
GE Superabrasives produced the first industrial diamonds in 1955. It remains a leader in manufacturing diamond, cubic boron nitride and polycrystalline products for the metalworking, stone, concrete, mining and woodworking industries. GE Superabrasives is headquartered in Worthington, Ohio, USA, and maintains offices in 25 countries around the world.

GE Specialty Chemicals
GESC, the world's largest manufacturer of phosphites, is headquartered in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA. The company manufactures a wide selection of phosphites, phosphite antioxidants and modifier resins, which are used as additives for high performance polymers, polyolefins, PVC and elastomers.

GE Petrochemicals 
With headquarters in Parkersburg, West Virginia, USA, GE Petrochemicals is a major supplier of styrene monomer to manufacturers of polystyrene products, rubbers, plastics, coatings and printing inks. These products are manufactured at Carville, Louisiana, USA, in a joint venture with Fina.
