Planning for Your Future
The GE Savings and Security Program and GE Pension Plan offer two methods to provide for your future financial security and obligations:
- Savings and Security Program (S&SP)
Accumulate savings for your future and your retirement years by saving from 1% to 17% of your pay -- with up to 15% on a pre-tax basis. Contributions are deducted from your pay. GE adds 50 cents for every dollar you contribute, up to 7% of your pay so the company match is potentially worth 3.5% of your pay. You are vested immediately for the full amount in your account, including company matching contributions.
- GE Pension Plan
The GE Pension Plan provides a fixed, reliable source of retirement income for you and your spouse. GE pays the major portion of your pension benefits. Your contribution provides added benefits and income flexibility at retirement, including health and life insurance for eligible retirees. Early retirement with full earned benefits is available, along with benefits for your surviving spouse if you die.
